We recognize students may have questions about the college's decision to suspend classes starting March 16 and, following spring break, resume classes on March 30 using online instruction as much as possible for the rest of the semester. We will attempt to answer your questions here. This list is evolving and is not complete. It will be updated on a regular basis.

No. Classes were suspended the week of March 16-20. Following spring break, which runs the following week, they will resume on Mar. 30 in an online format for the rest of the semester.
The college is developing plans for students to complete their studies online after classes resume Mar. 30, and is encouraging students to stay home. All academic requirements that previously anticipated a return of students after spring break are moving to provide remote participation options until such time as a safe return to campuses by students is possible. Instructors will be communicating directly with students via NCCC email, Blackboard and other methods on the transition to online learning.
As of March 16, you cannot attend clinical until further notice. We’re working to determine what our next steps will be to ensure students complete the required number of clinical hours. Expect more information on this from your instructor or the college.
Internships, like regular classes, will be suspended starting the week of Mar. 16. We’ll have more guidance for you in the coming days on how internships will be handled after classes resume Mar. 30.
Midterms that were scheduled during the week of Mar. 16 will not take place, as classes will not be in session. Midterms may be delivered in an online format after classes resume online on Mar. 30, and those details are still being worked out.
The college is working to identify students who face these challenges and need help to transition to online learning. We expect to provide a plan to support these students in the coming days. In the meantime, please email remote.support@nccc.edu if you do not have the ability to work remotely either due to lack of internet access or an electronic device.

*Update (3-17): The libraries and LACs will be closed through Spring Break. We expect they will resume operations in an online format, by providing remote tutoring, once classes resume Mar. 30 but those details are still being worked out.
Yes to both. During the week of March 16 students can remain in the dorms. Food service will be provided, however, as of March 17, it will transition to takeout/delivery only.
 Staff will help accommodate students currently residing at the residence halls in need of housing during spring break. However any food service provided over spring break will need to be takeout/delivery. Please complete a request form to request housing for spring break https://bit.ly/2IGLmKW. Yes. All classes, including those that were being delivered online, are suspended during the week of Mar. 16. 
Given the suspension of classes starting Mar. 16, second quarter classes will begin the week of March 30th in a modified, online/remote format.
Yes, all five-hour driving courses for March, April and May at all our campuses are canceled, and those who signed up are being contacted about refunds.

We anticipate our classes at Akweasne will be able to move to an online format starting Mar. 30. The details are still being worked out. Expect to hear more from your instructor or the college in the coming days.
The college’s current plan at this time is that there will be NO classes in the prisons from March 16–27, 2020 and that classes will resume on March 30, 2020 with faculty returning to the classrooms in the prison facility. More information on this will be communicated to students in the program.
All student refunds will automatically be mailed to the mailing address on file.
At this time, all financial aid will remain unchanged. NCCC will continue to provide a quality education in a modified format. Any aid received by students remains in place as long as they continue to actively participate by attending classes, completing assigned coursework, etc. Courses that have moved to an online format will not be treated differently than those delivered in a classroom setting.  
Yes, they are canceled for the rest of the spring. 
Yes. If you plan to travel outside the area for any reason, please fill out our Travel Response Form: https://www.nccc.edu/coronavirus-response/travel-formThe information gathered via this form will be used by college officials to proactively communicate with individuals or groups in the event that public health agencies indicate a need for particular precautions as it relates to the health of our campus communities.
