Frequently Asked Questions for Online Learning

Blackboard Learn is what most instructors will use to teach courses online at NCCC.  You should find most of your lectures, assignments, quizzes, and exams in Blackboard.  However, some instructors may choose to email those documents as well. Instructions on how to log-in to Blackboard Learn can be found on the Blackboard login page.

Some instructors also use other online resources, so communicate with each instructor for more information.

Some instructors may decide to hold class through webinar-style video-conferencing on the same days and at the same time as your original schedule. However, many of them will choose to post documents, lectures, and assignments for you to complete on your own time. Contact your instructor for more details.

Your instructor will contact you either by email, phone, or through Blackboard Learn.  Be sure to communicate with your instructor regularly.  The primary form of communication with be email or through Blackboard.

The Learning Assistance Centers will be using tutoring software (video options), emails, live chats, and phone calls to work with students remotely.  Visit the Learning Assistance Center webpage for more information.

The NCCC Library will offer support remotely as well with including access to 24/7 Librarian services.
