North Country Community College will continue to mark National Domestic Violence Awareness Month by hosting a special event on its Malone campus on Monday, Oct. 28.
Domestic Violence Awareness and Survivor Night will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mills Mezzanine, and the public is invited to attend.
The goal of the event is to help break the silence surrounding domestic violence. Attendees are encouraged to share stories of surviving domestic violence, volunteer to read a survivor’s story or simply show support by being present for others to share their story.
Professionals from local domestic violence agencies will be on hand with information and to provide support.
