Cybersecurity Bootcamp

Tues./Wed./Thur. September 10^th through December 5^th from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm

UpNCoding provides a 12-week Cyber Security course aimed at preparing participants for a dual-faceted role in cyber security, balancing the use of cutting-edge AI tools with conventional security practices. The course is designed to ensure proficiency in both realms, enabling future cyber security analysts to confidently operate with or without AI tools. This approach provides robust preparedness for the CompTIA Security+ and CC (ISC2) certifications, extensive hands-on practice in virtual environments, and a comprehensive understanding of cyber security forensics.

This course uniquely prepares participants to excel in the evolving field of cyber security, with skills in both traditional methods and modern AI applications. Graduates will be well-equipped to tackle the CompTIA Security+ certification and to perform competently in roles that demand a versatile approach to cyber security challenges. This dual-focus curriculum ensures that future analysts can adapt to various environments, with or without AI support, making them invaluable assets in any security context.

Total Cost: $12,500 including a computer that students keep.

 

Software Engineering Bootcamp

Tues./Wed./Thur. September 10th through December 5th from 4:30 pm-7:30 pm

UpNCoding provides a 12-week course designed to prepare students for the modern software engineering workplace; with the goal of providing opportunities across multiple industries and varying sized companies. 

The class meets 3 times per week for 3-hour sessions, led by 1-2 industry experienced instructors.  The course introduces software engineering principles through instruction led projects and industry standard tools that students will interact with in their future technology careers.  While other institutions focus on a front-end app development, UpNCoding is providing a more well-rounded full-stack education that better addresses the growing needs of the software engineering industry. 

 

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS: We have $2000 in scholarship funding to offer the first five students who register, thanks to the Generous Acts fund from the Adirondack Foundation.

North Country Community College Partnership

NCCC provides the physical space, technology, marketing and local services while UpNCoding provides a continued and fully staffed curriculum.  Additional courses both adjacent and in expansion are being prepared in topics such as Security, DevOps, microprocessor firmware and AI/ML to better address the needs of the industry and region.

To further align the needs of the community, NCCC and UpNCoding are pursuing a joint venture to provide software contracting services as a means to introduce resume building workplace experience to our students.
