Withdrawal Policy and Procedure
-
NCCC is required to follow State University of New York (SUNY) policy for Refunds of Tuition, Fees, and Other Charges. Consult the NCCC Catalog for detailed information. Withdrawing from classes, even for medical reasons, may leave you with financial responsibilities. If you are not a Financial Aid recipient, please contact the Business Office at 518-891-2915, extension 1688. Withdrawing from one or more of your classes may mean you lose all or a portion of your Title IV Financial Aid eligibility for the current and/or next semester. If you are a Financial Aid recipient, it is important that you discuss your situation with their office and check with the Business Office about your partial liability.
If you are withdrawing from all your classes, you must follow the steps below:
♦ Speak to your academic advisor and complete the withdrawal form
♦ Speak to the Business Office and Financial Aid Office
♦ If the withdrawal decision is due to medical reasons, you must provide documentation from your physician that you could not attend classes during the semester indicated.
♦ Submit the documentation along with the Withdrawal form to the Vice President for Academic Affairs Office. Withdrawal will not be processed until all documentation is submitted. If you choose to return to North Country Community College you will need to re-apply to the college.
