Students explore Whiteface Mountain summit

A group of students in the college's Environmental Science program got to visit the summit of an Adirondack High Peak as part of a class trip recently. Students in instructor Brian McAllister's BIO 160/Adirondack Biology class traveled to Whiteface Mountain to learn about alpine vegetation and tree growth patterns with elevation.

Tommy Sloan appointed as new student trustee

North Country Community College is proud to announce the appointment of Thompson "Tommy" Sloan as the new student representative to the college's Board of Trustees. Sloan, a second-year Criminal Justice student, joined the board in August 2025 and will serve as the voice of the student body in the college's governance.

NCCC Athletics inducts 2025 Hall of Fame class

More than 160 people who have made significant contributions to North Country Community College athletics - coaches, contributors, athletes, and entire teams - were enshrined into the college's Athletic Hall of Fame before a packed house of enthusiastic family, friends and college supporters on Friday, Sept. 12.

David McNally appointed to Board of Trustees

North Country Community College is pleased to announce the recent appointment of David McNally to its Board of Trustees. McNally was appointed by Gov. Kathy Hochul and brings decades of public service, advocacy, and community involvement to the board.

College offers five sessions of pottery classes

North Country Community College is offering five sessions of non-credit pottery classes during the 2025-26 academic year. Open to the public, these classes will take place in the college's Pottery Studio on the Saranac Lake campus.
