Jessica Kemp Represents NCCC at Winter Carnival

SARANAC LAKE -- The college is incredibly proud to be represented at this year's Saranac Lake Winter Carnival by Jessica Kemp, who was selected to serve as the Carnival princess.
A student in our business program, Jess has also been a leader on campus, serving on the college Board of Trustees and in the Student Government Association. She was crowned Friday at the Winter Carnival coronation ceremony and has been out and about every day since then spreading carnival cheer and representing the college.

of Lynne and Terry Kemp of Saranac Lake, and the sister of Rachel Kemp. Jessica enjoyed
growing up in Saranac Lake and loves all that the Adirondacks and Saranac Lake have
to offer. She is a graduate of Saranac Lake Central School and the 2013 class Salutatorian.
Jessica earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage and Production Management with a minor
in Hearing and Deafness from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
She is currently attending North Country Community College studying Business Management.
Her future plans include obtaining her master's degree in either Business or Finance.
Jessica is the Student Trustee for North Country Community College's Board and a member
of the Student Government. She has also volunteered with the Saranac Lake Young Arts
Association.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Jessica has been very busy making masks with the
Tri-Lakes Community Makers. The masks are donated to organizations such as Adirondack
Health, the Adirondack Watershed Institute, and local schools.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys cooking and hiking. She is also busy planning a
cross-country road trip.
