North Country Community College and our educational partners are proud to offer customized training opportunities to the communities that we serve. These trainings are developed in collaboration and designed to meet the specific needs of the organizations that we work with. Students enrolling in these offerings are looking to improve their skillsets and advance within the industries that they serve.

Welcoming & Belonging Microcredential Course

This course provides local businesses, chambers of commerce, community groups, and individuals with foundational knowledge and best practices for creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all staff and clientele. This asynchronous, self-paced course includes five core learning modules: Exploring Vulnerability, Building Trust & Relationships, Identifying Problems, Making Interventions, and Understanding Culture. Participants will engage in journaling and reflection activities, discussion forums, and applied learning projects. Upon completion, participants will receive a micro-credential badge to share on their website or social media.
