COVID-19 Testing Guidelines Released for On-Campus Students
Sept. 21, 2020
SARANAC LAKE -- Recent upticks in COVID-19 infections across college campuses have led the State University of New York (SUNY), of which North Country Community College is a part of, to adopt and require COVID-19 testing plans for all campuses.
Effective immediately, all students must present evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result prior to arriving on campus for any reason other than a curbside pickup arrangement.
The test must be administered within 5-8 days of the student's arrival on campus. After a student is initially tested, if he/she will be on campus regularly, the student must also agree to participate in pooled surveillance testing every two weeks. The pooled surveillance tests can be given on campus and students would participate by providing a saliva sample.
- Using contact information on the website, make an appointment to come on campus by contacting the office or service you will be using. For example, if you are looking for a tutoring appointment at the Learning Assistance Center, go to that webpage to make the appointment. If you are looking to make an appointment with the Business Office, go to the Business Office page for contact information.
- Everyone on campus must wear a mask and social distance whenever possible.
