High school student art show awards announced

MALONE – North Country Community College’s annual Regional High School Student Art Show came to a close on Friday, April 26, with a reception and awards ceremony.

Art students from Ticonderoga and Moriah high schools traveled to the event, held on the college’s Malone campus. The following awards were presented:

1st place -- Alethea Goralczyk, Moriah

2nd place -- Lauren Dixon, Ticonderoga

3rd place -- Caera Stone, Parishville-Hopkinton

Honorable Mention -- Simon Davis, Saranac Lake

Honorable Mention -- Hallie Corrow, Lake Placid

Sponsored by the NCCC Art Department, this year’s Regional High School Student Art Show ran from April 1 – 26. It featured works from students in Moriah, Ticonderoga, Saranac Lake Central, Parishville-Hopkinton and Lake Placid.
