College hosts 'Higher Education at a Crossroads' Summit

The college hosted a day-long summit last week that focused on ways to enhance the value of the North Country to our students and communities, and how to better confront the challenges and opportunities facing the region. More than 60 people, including our education and workforce partners, key local employers, elected officials, donors, faculty and staff participated in the Higher Education at a Crossroads event.
OPWDD, SUNY, NCCC recognize first DSP Microcredential students

The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and The State University of New York (SUNY) joined with North Country Community College on Thursday, May 30 to recognize 41 students enrolled in the SUNY Direct Support Professional Microcredential Program. The first cohort of 25 students are expected to complete certification by this fall and another 19 students have just begun. Direct support professionals help people with developmental disabilities succeed with daily living tasks, achieve their goals and participate fully in their communities.
North Country graduates 206 students at 56th Commencement

The North Country Community College Class of 2024 was celebrated Saturday at the college's 56th Commencement ceremony. A total of 206 students graduated Saturday in front of a packed house of their family and friends in the Sparks Athletic Complex gymnasium on the college's Saranac Lake campus.
